Phew, what a PITA.
Some reflections on my attempts to keep a live C9 journal:
- I really need to learn how to keep this stuff short and sweet. I stopped posting on Saturday because I was just writing too much. Finished up everything on the plane Monday and just finished posting it today.
- Integration with LJ is more difficult than I thought. Someone can add your RSS feed as an LJ friend, but then you have to create another account if you want to see their personal posts and then they have to add THAT one as a friend. The whole LJ “RSS feed == friend” thing is a stupid and nasty kludge. Time to nose around for an MT plugin that might smooth things out a bit.
- The trippy starlight mode on my Canon S40 camera is awesome, but really I ought to just start frigging with the white balance if I want to take decent nightclub pictures.
All in all, I’m glad to be back to my quiet, non-slot-machine-and-prime-rib-infested everyday life. But I miss these folks already.
