Fanatic Heart

After 9/11, I saw dozens of homemade posters around my neighborhood in Pittsburgh, featuring several variations on a bald eagle crying, screaming, and/or eating Osama bin Laden’s head.

Sadly, there has not been nearly enough bad Photoshop during America’s most recent conflict. So, in memory of happier times, I present you with a dog, wearing an American flag jacket, crying while gazing at a ghostly image of the WTC and the American flag in the background, with an eagle on its back, accompanied by Dale Earnhardt and the Challenger crew:
